If you have been reading my previous articles, you will know I typically focus on technical topics like Python and AI applications. One topic I haven’t really written about is mentoring. This is an area where I invest a fair amount of time. Particularly so in guiding experienced colleagues currently working in developer and architect roles through career transitions.

To be able to provide meaningful advise, I regularly talk to people in surrounding roles such as Business Analysts, Product Consultants, Solution Architects, etc. This also helps my own understanding of — what is it exactly that they do, how they do it and how they got to doing it. This article came together almost by itself out of one such discussion.
